This was a very fun painting to do, I was inspired by a very pretty cream bitch at a show who had such a disinterested expression once the excitement of being in the ring wore off. Life contains so many wonders, but sometimes you need to sit back and relax, if only for one moment

This painting was done while I had been commissioned to do the trophies for a Lab specialty. They are such pudgie, fleshy creatures when they are babies, like little coloured seals!
